Mission

The Division provides campus-wide leadership for undergraduate education and administers faculty and student programs that support and assess excellence in teaching and learning. The Division's policy, planning and programmatic mission is to:

• Encourage innovation, discovery, and academic enrichment in the undergraduate curriculum
• Promote and recognize faculty achievement in teaching and mentoring
• Enhance students' academic success
• Foster academic programs and services in support of diversity.
• Develop policy recommendations related to undergraduate education and to the teaching mission of the campus
• Partner with the Academic Senate on enhancing and ensuring the quality of education
• Oversee multi-college and campus-wide programs
• Integrate and advance the use of educational technology
